Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz 'Joyfully Welcomed' Baby Boy

The newly married couple welcomed their first son together, Egypt Daoud Dean, in New York City on Thursday, October 14.

and rapper/producer husband are proud parents to a healthy baby boy. Keys and Beatz "joyfully welcomed their first child" together at New York's St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital on Thursday, October 14, reps for the couple confirmed to People.

Keys and Beatz named their son Egypt Daoud Dean. While the newly-born tot is the first child for Keys, he is the third kid for Beatz who already has two children, Kasseem Jr. and Prince, from his previous relationship with artist Mashonda.

Sharing the excitement, Beatz took it on his Twitter page. On Friday, October 15, the "Money in the Bank" rapper wrote, "I'm so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww!" Fellow star has also congratulated the couple for their baby, tweeting "I'm So excited 2 Congratulate my brother @ therealswizzz and @Alicia keys on there (sic) New, baby, boy!!!!!!!"

Keys and Beatz, who got married at a private home on the Mediterranean Sea on July 31, announced their baby news in late May. At that time, the pair didn't know the gender of their baby but they are excited to start a family. Beatz told People, "Whatever we're blessed with, that baby is being born to blessed parents. Alicia is definitely one of those great parents-to-be."

Rap sensation has parted ways with her manager Sean '' Combs in favour of the guru behind 's career, Benny Medina. The "Your Love" hitmaker, who is signed to 's Young Money label, joined fellow hip-hop star Rick Ross on Combs' management roster in May this year after three years under the guidance of Debbie Antney, mother of rising rapper Wacka Flocka Flame.

But Minaj has now cut ties with Combs ahead of the November release of her debut album "", admitting she didn't feel enough "progress" had been made in the five months she's spent under his wing. In a statement, she says, "By now, everyone should know that I am really strict when it comes to my representation."

"I had sympathy for (Combs), however I feel as if I haven't gotten the guidance the manager is supposed to give his client. Personally, I feel like I'm being managed by mother. Even if you play the smallest role on my team, I wish to see progress." She adds, "I'd like to thank him for everything he has done for me; for taking me under his wing. I wish him the best with repping Rick. But now that my album is about to drop, its time to get serious and stop playing games."

Medina, Minaj's third manager in a year, has previously handled and , and has been Lopez's longterm representative.
